Citicard Updates

My link for the Citi Visa and Citibusiness Visa AA cards have been updatged to reflect a January 31st, 2010 expiration date.

But Disturbing News The Churning Party May be OVER

I got an email Friday from a reader that was denied additional cards because:

"she had the maximum number of allowed accounts"

Here second email said: "Maximum amount of credit allowed"

This reader has 3 (total of three) Citi credit cards.

And here is an excerpt from a post on Flyertalk:

"Yesterday was day #62 so I went online and completed the 30K application. Since I have a fraud alert on my credit report they've always had to make a verifciation call to make sure it's me. This morning I called in to check the application status and it was denied. The CSR advised me the new policy was you could only apply for a American Airlines related card every 12 months based on the date of your last appliction. She said I could call back in a couple of months and see if there had been program changes as the bank was continuing to review their policies."

Several readers have reported the same info over the weekend and Monday.

If this is indeed new policy, we are all in trouble. This does not feel good to me.
