In my efforts to spread the “Frugal Word”, I am developing 13 “beginners lessons” for newcomers to our hobby.
I need your help getting them on the blog.
On the right hand column of the blog I can add pictures, links, ads, polls, video clips and html (I think that is what I need)?? Html??
What I want to be able to do is put a link to a powerpoint presentation that I think needs to be “hosted”??? Is that something a tinyurl is for????
If and when I switch to Wordpress, that system allows for extra pages for these lessons, in addition to the blog, but I’d like to start getting these lessons up ASAP, as it motivates me to keep going with them. I have one and one half done and know already all 13 topics.
So any help with how to do it, or suggestions on how to have a powerpoint presentation “hosted” will be appreciated. It will soon be 13 presentations and I have no problem putting them in the existing links list if that is easier?? The first one is about Mistake Fares.
I think the idea is sound as reading through 700+ existing posts is a daunting task for any newbie, and if I can stay with the subject at hand with photos, graphs and other goodies, I’m sure it will help our rookies get up to speed.
Thanks Frugal Travel Computer Geeks and Geekettes. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Update on the Blog Progress
You guys and gals never cease to amaze me. I have received lots of advice and suggestions and the first beginner's lesson is on the blog. Thank you for your assistance and now your constructive comments and criticism will be greatly appreciated :). Next topic will be Fare Wars, then on to the effective combination of Priceline and Biddingfortravel.com for hotel stays.
Update on Political Comment
I have removed my political commentary, as it seems to offend readers to the point that they threaten to leave the blog and what we are trying to accomplish here by spreading the Frugal Word.
Just so you all know, both left and right, I wouldn't invite any of them Republican or Democrat into my own home for dinner.
Our Constitution was founded on the concept of the government helping the people, not the government helping themselves to the people's money.
The next time, if there is one, I make a political statement, assume I am ill, temporarily insane, or being held as a political prisoner by some foreign power. Or for that matter, my own government. The crooks.
There. Now do you all feel better?
