Here is More Status Info from Marriott

We used Starwood, Hilton and Marriott on this past trip. I started out with Hilton, Marriott and SPG Gold status and now at the end, I still have all three and the prospects of requalifying for Marriott again for 2010.

It takes 50 nights to earn Gold Status with Marriott. So far every one of my award nights have credited even if the award was booked from somebody elses account. I've had my awards count, mixed awards count, cash night count and my last Priceline nights will count as well, (I can see it in my Marriott profile) putting me one night within renewing my status. I somehow earned a new member bonus for a up to category 4 stay although I've been a member for years. I wonder if I should use that one for #50?

And my out of pocket costs were only the 2 out of three nights I paid for at the JW Marriott in Phuket, when we decided not to go to the Phi Phi Islands due to the heat. And the Priceline stay on Kauai.

Why so lucky? I have no idea and am not going to ask any questions or even bring up the topic. The sweet part is, from the start of our trip until June 26th the double nights promo has been running. That is how I got so many nights, as I never pay for hotel rooms unless it is to my benefit.

And yesterday's tip and riddle set me up for another year with that program. All I have left is to spend a few nights with Paris Hilton and a fast track promo with them.
