Northwest Worldperks Signature Visa earns EQM and Mark Finds us a Deal

The end of year and end of program dance continues with Northwest Airlines with this somewhat surprising announcement.

Between now and December 31st if you spend $25,000 in net purchases on your card you will earn 10,000 Elte Qualifying miles. Spend $50,000 between now and end of year and the number jumps to 20,00 EQM.

As the dance ends for Northwest they are trying to get their members higher status in the combined Delta/Northwest airline of the future.

Here are the terms and conditions. Note most importantly, there are no partials here. Make it to $25K or "too bad, so sad" Click Here.

Free CO miles to Amtrak to Choice Have Posted Successfully

The 21k of Continental miles I got for opening a checking account and debit card with Chase Bank have now been successfully converted to Amtrak points and then on to the Choice Privileges program. Just in time to book the last night of our Yosemite stay. $25 and a little patience got me about 6 nights of free hotel rooms. Thanks George for your help. More details are in the Archives of the blog.

Delta/Budget Promo Receipts

If properly done, the receipt actually shows 7550 Delta miles on the receipt of an F class intermediate class SUV rental. We are paying $43.18 here in Traverse City and trying to book at least one per day between the two of us. If somebody can confirm they are successfully getting them daily per person, I'd like to hear about it. Marty, the Rental Car King, suggested picking up at 12:01 AM and dropping off the same day at 11:59 PM, waiting two minutes until the next day and doing it again. Sounds great Marty in Las Vegas, but we sleep here in Traverse City and the counter is closed by 8PM. Those big city guys :)

Anybody having any luck with day after day after day rentals?
